Egypt’s Simplex Secures $13 Million to Establish CNC Manufacturing Facility in Saudi Arabia
Investment Aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 to Bolster Advanced Industries
Cairo, Egypt – In a significant move to expand its regional footprint, Egyptian CNC machine manufacturer Simplex has secured a $13 million investment to establish its first manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The funding round was led by Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Development Centre (NIDC), underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing its industrial sector.
Strategic Expansion into Saudi Arabia

Founded in 2013 by Ahmed Shaaban, Mohamed Mansour, and Amr Mahmoud, Simplex has been at the forefront of providing industrial solutions across various sectors in the Middle East. The company specializes in the production of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, which are pivotal in automating manufacturing processes.
The newly planned factory will be situated on a 20,000 square meter site in Riyadh and is dedicated to producing advanced CNC machines. This initiative aligns seamlessly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the economy and localize advanced industries within the Kingdom.

Eng. Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman of Simplex, expressed gratitude for the support from the NIDC, stating, “We are grateful for the significant support provided by the Saudi National Industrial Development Centre, which reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing the industrial sector and localizing advanced technology. This factory represents a major step towards realizing our vision of expanding in regional and global markets and increasing our exports of CNC machines.”
Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer Mohamed Mansour highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion: “We see Saudi Arabia as a promising market and a strategic hub for exporting our products to the region and the world. The new factory will enable us to meet the growing demand for CNC machines and enhance our presence in international markets.”
Anticipated Impact and Future Plans
The establishment of the Riyadh factory is expected to significantly boost Simplex’s production capacity, allowing the company to cater to the increasing demand for CNC machines in both regional and global markets. Operations are slated to commence in the first quarter of 2026, with the facility playing a crucial role in enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a regional industrial center and increasing its exports of advanced technological products.
