There was a day when Ahmed Alnasser made a decision that would shape the rest of his life he decided to become a pilot.

But when he shared that dream, he wasn’t met with applause. Instead, he faced resistance, criticism, and doubt. Many around him especially close friends and family told him that he wasn’t cut out for it. Some even gave reasons so personal and painful that he chooses not to speak of them.

Still, Ahmed didn’t let their words decide his future. He listened to the voice deep within him a voice powered by passion and clarity. That voice gave him the courage to keep moving.

He worked harder, studied more, and stayed focused on his goal. Years later, all that effort paid off. Ahmed now flies for one of the largest aviation companies in the region a dream that once seemed impossible.

A Humble Start in the Arts

Ahmed’s story doesn’t stop in the sky. In fact, his creative side began even earlier. In 2012, he joined a local theater production not as the lead, but as an extra. Still, it sparked something in him.

Pursuing a career in the arts wasn’t accepted in his city. Some people called his dreams childish. Others laughed at the idea. But Ahmed didn’t care. He kept showing up, kept learning, and kept creating.

Years later, those same people who once mocked him started asking to be part of his new projects.

Writing His Own Story

Ahmed didn’t want to live a life built around other people’s expectations. He wanted something bigger something meaningful.

He refused to settle for an ordinary path. His goal was not just to be successful in one area but to do well in everything he pursued, including his hobbies.

He was driven by curiosity and a love for exploration. He wanted to build a life filled with discovery, learning, and growth. For Ahmed, life wasn’t about following someone else’s script it was about writing his own.

Excellence in Aviation

Ahmed pursued aviation studies in the United States. In 2020, he graduated as the top student in his aeronautical program. It was a huge achievement, especially for someone who had faced so much doubt at the start.

But getting there wasn’t easy. He needed a scholarship from the Saudi government because the cost of flight school was too high to afford alone. Even after he got in, training was tough especially learning how to land, one of the hardest parts of flying.

But he never gave up. He practiced again and again until he got it right.

Sharshura: A Dream on Screen

While chasing his flying career, Ahmed was also nurturing a dream in the arts. In 2016, he wrote a script for a short film called Sharshura (The Hearse).

But it stayed on paper for years. He didn’t have the resources to make it real. Funding seemed like a far-off dream until one day, the Saudi Film Commission stepped in. They believed in him and supported his vision.

In 2024, Sharshura was finally produced. And in April 2025, the film won an award at the 11th Saudi Film Festival.

That moment, standing on the stage and receiving recognition, was surreal for Ahmed. He had once dreamed to participate in the festival and now he was being celebrated at it.

A New Film on the Way

This year, Ahmed started working on his next short film, Under The Abaya. The project is still in its early stages, but the energy is high. He’s surrounded by a passionate and skilled team, and filming is set to begin by the end of the year.

For Ahmed, this film isn’t just another project. It’s a step toward something greater is dream of launching his own production company. He wants to keep making films that have meaning, depth, and heart.

Persistence is Everything

Ahmed says the biggest lesson he’s learned is that persistence turns doubt into belief not only for others but for yourself.

In both aviation and filmmaking, he faced setbacks: lack of money, lack of tools, rejection, and even mockery. Many times, it would have been easier to quit.

But he didn’t.

He kept moving forward. He stayed focused, even when things were slow or tough. He surrounded himself with people who shared his belief and kept his vision alive.

His journey proves that dreams don’t fail because they’re too big they fail when we stop believing in them.

Kindness, Respect, and Storytelling with Purpose

Ahmed hopes to be remembered not just as a successful pilot or filmmaker, but as someone who led with kindness and respect.

In aviation, he believes teamwork and a positive attitude are just as important as technical skills. In film, he brings those same values to every set.

But he also wants his films to do more than entertain. He wants them to inspire.

He dreams of creating stories that families can watch together films that make people feel, think, and grow. His goal is to leave behind a legacy that touches hearts and changes lives.

A Message to His Younger Self

If he could go back and speak to his younger self, Ahmed would say this:

“Believe in your dream, even if no one else does. People will doubt you. You might even doubt yourself. But keep going. Every delay will teach you patience. Every rejection will push you closer to the right opportunity. Don’t be afraid to dream big even if others don’t understand. Stay true to yourself, and let your work do the talking.”

Today, Ahmed Alnasser is living proof that when you hold on to your passion, anything is possible. He continues to rise on the screen and in the skies showing others that the journey may be long, but the view from the top is worth it. Do follow him on Instagram.
