May Fakhry still remembers the moment her journey began. She was a young girl, chosen to sing at a school concert. Just a day before the big event, she fell very sick. Most children would have stayed home, but her mother carried her to school and said, “You have a responsibility. If you don’t go, no one will take your place, and the event will fail.”
Even at that young age, May understood the weight of those words. She chose to perform, pushing through the illness. That performance turned out to be one of the school’s most memorable events. More importantly, it taught her a lifelong lesson: take every task seriously, and always show up, no matter the obstacle.
That day, a performer was born not just on stage, but in life.
A Heart Always Drawn to Creativity
Growing up, May was passionate about art, fashion, and sketching. She enjoyed creating with her hands and expressing herself through colors and textures. While her creative spark was always there, her professional path took many forms over the years.
She began with modeling, where her presence and elegance stood out. This led to advertising work and then acting. As her face became more familiar in the industry, her career continued to grow.
But deep down, something still felt unfinished.
“I realized there was a passion I hadn’t fulfilled,” May shared. “That’s why I feel this is the right field for me at this stage of my life.”
Walking Away From Fame by Choice
One of May’s proudest achievements isn’t a role she played or a brand she represented. It’s the moment she chose to walk away from it all.
While many chase after fame and attention, May made the bold choice to step away. She didn’t want to be limited or defined by fame. She wanted to live freely, explore different paths, and find true happiness outside the public eye.
“I wanted to live a real, happy life, to find myself, and to work in different fields without restrictions,” she said.
That choice gave her the peace and clarity she needed to grow in a more meaningful direction.
A Career Born by Coincidence
May’s journey into the entertainment world wasn’t planned. It all started with a random opportunity a music video appearance. From that single moment, more doors opened. She was offered modeling jobs, then advertising gigs, and eventually acting roles.
Her career took off quickly. But as exciting as it was, it wasn’t always easy.
Balancing a demanding work schedule with the responsibilities of motherhood and family life was her biggest challenge.
“It was hard to balance my time and energy between work, children, and family,” May recalled. “But I stayed committed, and I found a way.”
Building Her Own Path
May is someone who believes deeply in taking charge of her own journey. She doesn’t rely on others to complete her work or make decisions for her. She understands that only she can fully commit to her vision and success.
“I don’t rely on anyone to carry out my tasks,” she said. “I’ve also learned not to trust every opinion. Some people give advice just to hold you back.”
Her strength comes from within, built on personal experience and a clear understanding of who she is and what she wants.
A New Mission: Empowering Arab Women
Now, May is working on a project that reflects her true passion. She is preparing a television program fully focused on Arab women. This show will talk about everything that matters to them beauty, fashion, health, and emotional well-being.
“It’s something I’ve dreamed of for a long time,” May said. “I want to help as many Arab women as possible succeed, grow, and feel supported.”
This isn’t just a TV show for her. It’s a platform for change, a safe space for women to feel seen and valued. She wants to create a positive impact by sharing real stories, expert advice, and honest conversations.
Through this program, she hopes to touch lives and build a strong community of women who lift each other up.
Lessons Learned Along the Way
May’s journey is full of lessons, but perhaps the most powerful one is about the value of small steps.
“Never miss an opportunity that could benefit you professionally,” she says. “Big achievements are often the result of many small opportunities.”
She encourages others to be open to growth, to take chances, and to protect their dreams from negativity. She believes that success is a mix of courage, patience, and self-belief.
