As a key member of IAM Filipina—a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring and supporting Filipinas in Qatar—Glenda has played a pivotal role in shaping programs that address both personal and professional development. Since its inception in 2023, IAM Filipina has organized seven major events, focusing on areas such as work-life balance, confidence building, financial literacy, and effective job application strategies. These initiatives have provided invaluable resources to many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals.
Mentorship: A Pillar of Support
Central to IAM Filipina’s mission is its robust mentoring program. Glenda, alongside her colleagues, has facilitated over 60 sessions, impacting more than 22 Filipina participants. The program boasts an impressive 80% average goal achievement rate, underscoring its effectiveness in fostering growth and development among its mentees. Through personalized guidance and support, Glenda has helped many rediscover their potential and chart paths toward success.
Community Engagement and Advocacy
Beyond mentorship, Glenda’s commitment to community service is evident through various initiatives. She has been instrumental in organizing breast cancer awareness campaigns and collaborating on projects with the Philippine Embassy in Qatar. These efforts not only raise awareness on critical health issues but also strengthen the sense of community among Filipinas in the region.

In recognition of their impactful work, the leadership team of IAM Filipina, including Glenda, was invited to a courtesy visit with Philippine Ambassador to Qatar, HE Lillibeth Pono. During this meeting, they discussed the organization’s accomplishments and future initiatives aimed at further empowering the Filipina community.
