As for my role as a writer, I write about women and for women. Through my work, I strive to amplify their voices and shed light on their real life experiences, especially those of Saudi women.
My first book, Not Like Other Women, is a collection of true stories of women I’ve encountered in my life women who faced immense challenges but overcame them and became who they aspired to be. It was important for me to document these stories so that future generations, especially our young girls, understand that the paths we walked were not as open as the ones they have today.
My second book, Not Like Other Devils, will be released in two months at the Riyadh International Book Fair. It is also a collection of real stories, but this time focusing on the darker, more complex aspects of women’s lives specifically, the capacity for darkness that exists within all humans, including women. Not as a judgment, but as a truth often left unexplored.
